Kristine Matthews
Community Relations Director

Kristine Matthews comes to The Monarch House with a strong background in sales, marketing, management and interior design. She serves as our Community Relations Director.

As a former owner of two interior design businesses, coupled with thirty plus year of experience in that field, she realized fully the value of how ones "home" should provide contentment, relaxation, pride and a sense of belonging and being settled. Kristine especially enjoyed the process of getting to know her clients. She found that through the "art of listening", she could best ascertain their particular needs and wants.

After volunteering at several senior living communities in Savannah, Georgia and the Chicago area, she decided to transition her life work in to the healthcare community.

Kristine and her husband moved to the Tyrone area recently to be close to family. She loves spending time with her daughter, son in law and two grandsons. She also enjoys traveling, gardening, landscape painting, and volunteering with pet rescues.

She is excited to be at The Monarch House and looking forward to immersing herself into this important work with our senior community.

Letter From Our Owner

Welcome and Thank You for your interest in Monarch House, a new and unique senior living community located near Ashley Park Mall in Newnan, GA. I am Vic Young, a native Atlantan, a real estate developer since 1975, a graduate of Georgia State University, a Vietnam Veteran, a father and grandfather. My educational background and 41 years of work experience have been focused on land development, commercial and residential construction, property management and consulting in Georgia, Florida and Colorado. Like several senior living company owners I have met over the past few years, I developed an interest in senior living while my mom resided in an assisted living community close to my home in Cumming, GA. In Newnan, I was fortunate to acquire a new vacant building that had one floor partially completed for a childcare business. Having observed seniors' eyes light up whenever a group of children visited my Mom's community for holiday events, my creative juices began to flow a river. I completed the Caterpillar House Early Learning Center, hired an extraordinary staff of experienced and caring teachers and then began the design and build-out of Monarch House. The Monarch House management concept is like no other. We have an exciting opportunity to create an Intergenerational Relationship between our youth and senior residents that will benefit both generations. The Monarch House design is quite unique as well. Each floor is comprised of private residence suites and common areas having the true feel of living in a home or luxury condominium rather than a hotel. As thoughtful as we have attempted to be in the private suites, common areas and amenities, selecting an experienced staff of caregivers with genuinely warm hearts and happy faces is the essential element in ensuring that our small group of residents will be in a loving family environment. Monarch House is our seniors' home and we are honored to be their guests, their extended family and their caregivers.
